Imperia: Overview

Imperia is an RM2K-built RPG in which the player commands multiple groups of characters in battle. Events happen on-the-fly on the battle map, switching to turn-based combat when an encounter occurs. Each battle has unique objectives that must be completed to attain victory and battlefields can later be revisited to harvest equipment and gain experience. Outside of battle, the player can swap characters from group to group, rearm in preparation for the next battle, and forge new equipment and weaponry.

Characters advance through battle experience and level up every 100 experience points, increasing their stats. After 10 levels, characters can change their class, gaining new abilities, access to new equipment, and such. There are 27 classes in all, providing for a wide range of battle techniques and strategies. A class advancement chart and list of abilities can be found here.
